About the role
We are looking for a Site Project Manager to lead Verne project delivery in Iceland. This role owns the day-to-day operational, technical, scheduling, commercial and tactical management of projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within scope and budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
• Full understanding of project scope and contractual obligations.
• Day-to-day operational, technical, scheduling, commercial and tactical project management.
• Oversight of managers and supervisors, and review of high-level deliverables.
• Implementation of engagement review and QA procedures to ensure profitable, successful execution.
• Compliance with all VERNE HSE policies and procedures.
• Risk and exposure minimization, scope management and mitigation.
• Monitoring KPIs to track progress against timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Continuous improvement through lessons learned.
• Compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Project accounting support: revenue recognition, invoicing, receivables, profitability analysis.
• Financial management: revenue goals, resource allocation, forecasting, budget control and change control.
• Communication: active participation in team and client meetings, transparent stakeholder updates, conflict resolution, and representation of VERNE at stakeholder meetings.
• Technical understanding of service offerings, quality control, and corrective actions.
• Leadership, teamwork, client management, innovator development and internal operations support.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Site Project Manager or similar project/practice management role in engineering or construction.
- Strong understanding of project scope, contractual obligations, and commercial management.
- Experience with financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
- Commitment to HSE policies, quality control, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
