An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and highly respected consultancy in Hamilton.
With a strong pipeline of work across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty, this role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects spanning infrastructure, education, civic, healthcare and commercial sectors.
This position would suit a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys client interaction, takes pride in delivering high-quality professional advice, and is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and collaborative consultancy environment.
The Role
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of professional quantity surveying services across multiple projects, including:
- Cost planning and estimating
- Procurement advice and tender management
- Tender analysis and reporting
- Contract administration
- Construction phase cost management
- Client liaison and stakeholder management
You will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members, contribute to business growth and play an active role in the continued success of the business.

What we're looking for
- A minimum of 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry
- Strong pre-contract estimating experience, including CostX
- Experience across procurement, tender evaluation and post-contract cost management
- Previous consultancy experience preferred; strong contractor-side candidates also considered
- Experience within the New Zealand construction market
- New Zealand Citizenship, Residency or a valid New Zealand Work Visa
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and professional approach to client service
